Why is spring break good for you?

Spring break is really good for me because it lets me relax my mind and have a lot of fun with different people. It also helps me take a little break from school which we know we all need that sometimes. Here’s a little fun fact about spring break it actually started with the Romans and Greeks. They would basically have a party honoring the gods of wine. But the recent spring break that we all know and love was started by a swim coach in Colgate university who took his team down to fort Lauderdale in order to celebrate a big party fore them.

hero journey 9-12

stage9-The reward stage is about action and the hero must seize this moment

when Simba was rewarded the kingdom

10-The road back is defined in order to rededicate himself to the quest

In Harry Potter 4 Harry takes Cedric’s dead body back to Hogwarts because it is the right thing to do and he is leaving Voldemort. In the Mysterious Benedict Society Reynie brings back Mr. Curtis’s machine so Mr. Benedict can use it for good.

stage 11- the resurrection when the hero experiences a rebirth it means it is a form of purification

In the Lost Years of Merlin Emrys was very self absorbed but when Rhia was captured he lost that personality and is now a selfless person. In the Alex Rider books, Alex realizes that he can’t have his normal life and must become the spy that he was meant to be.

stage 12- the return of the elixir  when the peole start to forget waht happened

In the Mysterious Benedict Society once Reynie and his friends have defeated Mr. Curtis the rest of the world begins to forget about the emergency. In the Pendragon series Bobby gets to live his life as a regular boy.

hero journey stages 5-8

stage 5-The mentor is not enough for the hero to plunge into an adventure because theres doubts in the heros mind. whether or not he wants this. The threshold guardian is like an internal conflict inside the hero. The threshold guardian is like overcoming fear or hatred. Like in Eragon he refused to ride Saphira. But then in order to defeat Durza later on he rides her. This is both kind of like the leap action literally. Like in how to train your dragon Hiccup when touched the dragon finally rode him then admits everything in the end. he made it his goal to save his father and his friend.

Stage six allies enemies-The ultimate purpose for this is to give the hero more tests to get him ready for the final battle. The role of the sidekick is to be an ally. The sidekick follows the hero through some part of his journey or quest, and helps him make it to the end

ex:One example of an enemy is the relationship between Harry Potter and Voldemort. An example of an ally could be in the last Star Wars movie when Darth Vader kills Darth Sideous. This is also an example of an enemy because even though Luke and Darth Vader were enemies, Darth Vader became an ally of Luke in the very end and saved him from Darth Sideous.

stage 7- in this stage the hero is in the innermost cave

ex:In the Lion King Simba is on a big journey to overthrow Scar from the throne. but before this Nala helps him past the journey by being sort of like a sidekick to him

stage 8-it changes the hero by a symbolic death and then reborn. but the ordeal is not the climax but the middle.

ex:In Cars Lightning McQueen looses his pit crew in the beginning of the movie. But in the middle he learns how to work with the Porsche to be a better racer

hero journey stages 1-4

stage one-  is about the ordinary world where the main character starts.- for example when Simba from the lion king was born

stage two-call of adventure- the hero is presented with problem and he no longer remains in the confort of the ordinary world and he can achieve a dream or change life.-in the lion king when mufasa dies

Stage 3 -The refusal of the call is when the hero at first refuses the calling to his adventure for some reason. -When Eragon refused to ride the dragon, that could be an example of refusing the call.

stage 4-of the hero’s journey, a mentor is introduced into the hero’s life-In Kung Fu Panda, the panda character is trained by that little mouse sansei character

Are objections a bad thing?

Objections are actually a really good thing. I say this because that way if you know what they don’t like about the product you know what to recommend next in order for that customer to leave. Also that way you know what the customer is looking for. For example a customer  wants it bigger than the one you’re showing you just go back and bring in a bigger one.

Dialogue

Customer” I really wasn’t looking for something that expensive.”

Salesperson”We have similar products but for a much cheaper price.”
